 INFO

Deliver The Galaxy is a melodic death metal band from the center of
Germany, founded in 2010 by Matthias Mente and Christian Rockstedt.
Inspired by Scandinavian metal icons such as In Flames, Dark Tranquillity,
and Before The Dawn, they have developed their own unmistakable style. The
melodies are catchy, ensnaring the listener's ear and catapulting them
into orbit. However, the songs are never too soft or overloaded, but are
skillfully combined with powerful rhythm guitars that provide the typical
DTG sound. This unmistakable dynamic permeates all galaxies.
Over the years, DTG has become increasingly experimental, allowing their
song structures to evolve. The band ventures off the beaten path without
completely abandoning it. The lyrics revolve around the concept of pre-
astronautics—the idea that extraterrestrial life forms may have visited
Earth in the past. This lyrical and musical exploration of a fascinating
topic takes the listener on an adventurous journey.

TIMELINE

2010 Band founded

Founding members Matthias Mente and Christian Rockstedt spent the first 2
years producing a variety of songs that were initially rather
experimental. However, these experimental beginnings contributed to the
development of Deliver The Galaxy's current style.
2012 4 track EP „The Galaxy EP“
After releasing their first EP, entitled "The Galaxy EP," the band began
the search for a drummer. The two guitarists eventually found Ludwig
Sieber in their local bar, who turned out to be the perfect addition to
the band.

All that was missing was someone to handle the lower frequencies.
Fortunately, their local bar, a popular meeting place for musicians,
enabled them to recruit Sebastian Arendt for the position.
After a few rehearsals and intensive preparation, Deliver The Galaxy held
their first concert at this local pub as part of the "Local Heroes" event
series. Competing against several bands from different genres that
evening, they secured first place in the regional competition.
Afterwards, the band distributed a box of their "The Galaxy EP" to the
audience, with the edition limited to 100 pieces.

2013 While working on "Insetopia," Sebastian Arendt (BASS) left the band and
was replaced by Benjamin Brandt. Shortly before the album was completed,
the band decided to compose more songs due to uncertainties about their
initial selection. They aimed to reach their full potential. Ultimately,
none of the initially composed songs were released, and it was decided to
archive them for potential future release. This decision marked the birth
of their debut work, “Project Earth.”

2014 „PROJECT EARTH“ Full-length Album released by self

2015 Another change on the bass guitar.
BENJAMIN BRANDT left the band and from then on dedicated his life to his
wife and child. Only a short time later the band was able to win DANNY
STOYE for the position. He completed the band and appeared on stage for
the first time in the “Festung Bitterfeld” (a well-known metal bar).

2016-2017 The band played a variety of concerts, open airs and festivals and
initially concentrated on their live performance.-Performance.

2018 The call for a new album became loud, and the band went back to their
studio to pre-produce the first songs and later work on "The Journey" with
Lars Rettkowitz (Freedom Call).
During this time, LUDWIG SIEBER (DRUMS) left the band to pursue
professional opportunities and was initially replaced by TIM SCHIRMER.

2019 After “The Journey” was completed, several labels tried to get it into the
second division. Ultimately the album was released via “Wolfmetal
Records”.

2019 NOV. Single „SETIUS“

2019 DEC. Single „THE PICTURE I DRAW“

2020 „THE JOURNEY“ Full-length Album
This was followed by a tour, which had to be canceled after the first day
of the tour due to the corona pandemic. During this time, Ludwig Sieber
decided to leave the band for personal reasons.

2021 Single „ORBIT“ was released

2022 After the pandemic, the live music scene was significantly weakened, with
many shows and festivals either being postponed or canceled entirely. The
band found it challenging to secure gigs and gradually fought their way
back onto the stages.

2023 APR. Single „GET DOWN“ + Video was released

2023 JUN. Single „ UNSTERBLICH“ + Video was released
